Meet the Artist
Suzy Mink has been carving pumpkins for over eighteen years.
She is known for her highly detailed portraits but has also specialized in carving beautiful buildings into pumpkins such as the National Cathedral, the Jefferson Memorial. and the Lincoln Memorial. The lifelike portrait images are best viewed in very dark areas to see the level of sculptured detail. Her work has been featured on the Good Morning American homepage, Romanian TV, Ladew Gardens, and in locals news stations and news outlets in the greater Washington area and around the U.S.
She is the Senior Philanthropic Advisor at her alma mater, Hollins University, and is an avid triathlete, winning four world championship gold medals competing around the world as a member of Team USA.
